She was raised in the Boston MA, and completed medical school and general surgery training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. She worked as a general surgeon at Kaiser Permanente for two years prior to completing a colon & rectal surgery fellowship at The University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She has experience in basic science research in the areas of radiologic imaging, cardio-renal physiology, molecular oncology and in clinical translational surgical research.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University before earning his MD at Columbia University. He stayed for Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and completed his GI and bariatric endoscopy fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He obtained his MPH from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health before completing an advanced endoscopy fellowship at Jefferson.
