The cannabis industry is one that has traditionally been fraught with regulatory hurdles, gray areas and ethical pot holes. It is refreshing to finally reap the results of long discussions and negotiations between all those involved and see this industry flourish across countries, as more and more countries lift their restrictions and new businesses move into play.
From seed-to-sale tracking to personal, patient-based medical products, the convergence of these two spheres promises great things for the future of medical cannabis, something we’re sure many of the investors attending our summits will be keen to explore.
This same shift is also alluring for the hope it brings to patients suffering from chronic illnesses, something which we have been very keen to explore in our past editions. Patients too deserve to have their thoughts heards and wishes served.
SiGMA, being a pioneer in the Medical-Cannabis Conference Industry was very adamant to continue hosting this vertical, in parallel with Malta’s perseverance to build its own flourishing Medical Cannabis Industry and as a result, will continue to host this during the Malta Week two-day summit, with a separate stage solely dedicated to medical cannabis and other related topics, including the rise of psychedelics.
Having supported the Med-Tech event since 2019 both Matt Lawson and I regard this as the premier European conference and a World leader. The support at Government level and the outstanding organisation by SIGMA set the event apart.
Medicinal Cannabis and Med-Tech are at the forefront of patient access, professional adoption and delivery mechanism development. We view the conference as the opportunity to meet and discuss industry issues with medical professionals, government ministers, leaders in the field of medical technology and a global network of friends. This is an event that is first in the calendar and we urge those in the industry to attend.
CISW Summit was first held in 2020, a grand-scale virtual summit that brings together a team of leading cannabis experts, scientists, university professors, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and developers from Thailand and around the world. Partnering up with Med-Cann World Summit by SiGMA was the next most logical thing to do. We look forward to connecting Thailand with the rest of the world through the upcoming Malta November Med-Cann Summit, as we seek to continue developing the medical cannabis industry in Asia and beyond.
