Call for Abstracts | Submissions open until 20th September 2024
Members of the scientific community are invited to prepare abstracts related to innovative techniques, advancements related to medical devices and medical technology, and future trends in the fields of medicine, surgery, pharmacy, dentistry and applied sciences, for submission to the Med-In Pharma scientific committee. Abstracts which are accepted by the scientific committee may be presented as a poster at the MedTech Malta by MedTech World.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts by 20th September 2024 by email to [email protected].
Authors will be notified of the final results of the review process by 30 September 2024. Accepted abstracts must be presented by one of the authors who must be registered for the Malta MedTech World Summit 2024. Med-In Pharma to feature again at MedTech Malta.
Med-In Pharma, an initiative by the Malta Medicines Authority, will once again take center stage at MedTech Malta by MedTech World from November 7th to 9th. This year, they will take over one of the stages during both afternoons, curating a diverse range of content that highlights the Malta Medicines Authority’s outstanding work. The sessions will delve into the local medical device industry’s dynamics, offering comparative insights with Europe’s and the global market. Discussions will also explore the growing synergy between the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, along with other key developments shaping the sector.

The Malta Medicines Authority (MMA) is a regulatory body dedicated to ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of medicines and medical devices in Malta. Under the leadership of Professor Anthony Serracino-Inglott, a renowned expert in pharmaceutical regulation, the MMA has played a pivotal role in safeguarding public health through rigorous evaluation, monitoring, and regulation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Malta Medicines Authority also actively contributes to the development of international standards and collaborates with global regulatory agencies, positioning Malta as a key player in the global healthcare landscape.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
All abstracts must be prepared according to the instructions below.
Abstracts must not exceed 300 words and should not include any tables or figures. Abstract text must be in Times New Roman font, 12-point, single spacing and justified text. Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum and placed in parentheses after the full term appears for the first time. Linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the authors. Drug products mentioned in the abstract should be identified by their non-proprietary names only. Any possible conflict of interest shall be declared.

- Setting and Method
- Results
- Conclusions
- Literature References: Optional these must be included in the 300-word limit
