5,500 votes and a night of innovation at MedTech World Asia Awards 2026

MedTech World Asia Awards 2026 in Hong Kong recognised companies and individuals across medical technology, healthcare, investment, and related services. Blue Goat Cyber sponsored the awards, while CS Lifesciences sponsored the awards reception, which brought MedTech and healthtech professionals, investors, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives together from across Asia and beyond.

The awards took place on 26 August in the Grand Ballroom at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, where guests filled the room for an evening of presentations, celebrations, and networking.

The winners ranged from early-stage startups and scale-ups to investors, research organisations, and established healthcare companies.

Recognising different sides of healthcare innovation

The categories span everything from new medical technologies and digital health products to clinical research, investment, regulation, and healthcare delivery.

This year’s winners were recognised for work in digital health, diagnostics, AI, medical technology, wearables and implantables, FemTech, longevity, and patient care. Several categories also looked beyond products and technology, recognising venture capital funds, family offices, regulatory consultancies, and clinical research organisations.

Alongside the category winners, Roche Information Solutions China received a Special Recognition for Advancing the Future of Digital Diagnostics. The recognition acknowledges the company’s work across AI, computational pathology, companion diagnostics, biomarkers, laboratory automation, and personalised healthcare.

The awards are open to organisations and professionals working with healthcare technology, recognising achievements at different stages of development and across different areas of the industry.

How the MedTech World Awards are judged

A total of 5,500 public votes were cast, accounting for 50% of each final score. The other half was decided by the MedTech World Awards Steering Committee. The public vote gives industry participants a direct say in the results, while the Steering Committee reviews each entry against the criteria set for its category.

The final result combines the public vote with the committee’s assessment before each winner is confirmed.

Opening MedTech World Asia 2026

MedTech World Awards opened Day 0 with an evening of awards, networking, and celebration in Hong Kong. With a lively crowd in the room, the ceremony brought the first day of the event to a close while giving attendees a chance to recognise the companies and individuals behind some of the sector’s recent work.

The evening also included a charity auction in support of the SiGMA Foundation, with three artworks going under the hammer and proceeds supporting the Foundation’s charitable work. As Day 0 wrapped up, guests continued networking ahead of the main MedTech World Asia 2026 event.
