MedTech World charity auction raises funds for SiGMA Foundation

MedTech World Asia Awards brought the industry together at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong to recognise this year’s achievements in healthcare and medical technology. The evening also featured a charity auction, with three artworks going under the hammer in support of the SiGMA Foundation.

The works ranged from a Hong Kong-inspired landscape to pop art and a more surreal piece exploring imagination and form. Guests had the opportunity to bid on the artworks while supporting the Foundation’s charitable work.

Auction 1: Sold for €1,099 to Blue Goat Cyber

Opening the auction was Bright Sun, 2026 by Hong Kong-based artist Anna Salenko. Inspired by the city’s beaches and coastline, the painting uses bright colours and palette-knife textures to capture a summer scene.

Salenko has exhibited her work internationally, including in New York, London, Paris and Milan. Bright Sun sold for €1,099 to Blue Goat Cyber.

Auction 2: Sold for €2,000 to MedTech Syndicates

Next was Keep Calm and Think Wild, a collaboration between Secret and David Yuan. The work features Yuan’s MR.DAVYUAN character, taking a playful look at the difference between keeping calm and letting the mind run free.

Yuan studied at Tsinghua University and has worked on projects including designs for the London Olympic Games and gifts for the British Royal Family. The artwork was secured by MedTech Syndicates for €2,000.

Auction 3: Sold for €888 to MedSight Capital

The final piece of the evening was Aquarium on Her Back, 2026 by Hong Kong painter Li Ning. Inspired by the ideas of the nest and the shell, the work brings the two forms together in a study of imagination and creation.

Li Ning’s work has been shown at Art Brussels and Art Basel Hong Kong and is held by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. The piece achieved a final bid of €888, purchased by MedSight Capital.

Supporting the SiGMA Foundation

The proceeds from the auction will support the work of the SiGMA Foundation, the charitable arm of the SiGMA Group. The Foundation funds projects in areas including healthcare, education, and community development, working with local organisations to meet the needs of the communities they serve.

Charity auctions have become a regular feature of MedTech World events, giving guests the opportunity to support the Foundation while bidding on artworks and other donated pieces.
