Dr Charlie Abela is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence within the Faculty of ICT at the University of Malta. His research interests include the areas of enterprise knowledge graphs and graph representation learning, and how these can be used to unlock digital transformation within the context of humanities, healthcare and manufacturing. He is the lead researcher of the medicX-KE project that is focused on Drug-Drug Interactions and funded by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.
