Dr Josianne Cutajar

Josianne Cutajar is the youngest Member to ever represent the Maltese Islands in the European Parliament. As a member of the Committee for Industry, Research and Energy, as well as the Committee for Transport and Tourism, she strongly advocates for widespread and inclusive digitalisation and connectivity within the European Union. MEP Cutajar worked on several digital files, including as Rapporteur for the TRAN Opinion on the Artificial Intelligence Act. She was also part of the European Parliament’s negotiating team for the European Strategy for SMEs as well as for the Path to the Digital Decade and is also an active member of the SMEs Intergroup, where she focuses on promoting research and innovation among SMEs and micro-businesses.
