Mark grew up on the Isle of Man spending much time sailing boats before embarking on an International career, initially within the Navy and then following graduation within the Ethical Pharmaceutical Industry. Mark worked primarily in strategic marketing on pre and post launch programmes for a number of blue chip companies that included Roche, MSD, Glaxo GSK, J&J, & Novartis amongst others. This included periods living and working in London, the USA the Middle East and Italy. Mark has launched over twenty pharma products in his career, latterly as European Brand Lead for an oral anticancer treatment, before returning to the Island for family reasons. Working for the IOM Government as the Development Manager Biomed Health & Life Sciences, Mark identified & supported the opportunity for the Island to develop a Regulated Medicinal Cannabis Sector some years ago. It has taken over three years of considerable tenacity & drive to secure legislation, an appointed regulator, a progressive licensing framework and to open for business in July of this year. Mark states that straight talking, insightful thinking & the ability to creatively lead & motivate people have been integral to his success.
