Victor Grech is a professor of paediatrics and runs paediatric cardiology services at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta. He has a PhD in paediatric cardiology, a second PhD in English Language and is finalising a third dissertation that deals with factors that influence the sex ratio at birth. He is the most published academic in Malta and has been invited to speak abroad about his research on several occasions. He is also the creator of the international WASP (Write a Scientific Paper) course which has been held not only in Malta but also in London and in Bahrain. Victor has also been involved in the organisation of several international conferences and helps to edit the local journals: Malta Medical Journal and Malta Medical School Gazette.
