Innovation starts here: MDIA x MedTech World Day 0 Tour for the bold and the curious 

Malta’s innovation story starts a day early this year. On 12 November 2025, a select group of 50 startup founders, entrepreneurs, and innovators will get an exclusive look into one of the country’s most forward-thinking spaces, DiHubMT, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) run by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA). 

Held on Day 0 of MedTech Malta 2025, this immersive visit is designed to connect early-stage MedTech pioneers with Malta’s digital innovation ecosystem. The tour will take place from 11 am to 1 pm at DiHubMT – MDIA, Twenty20 Business Centre, Birkirkara, offering an intimate opportunity to network, learn, and get inspired.

Inside the experience 

Participants will be welcomed by Bernard Montebello, Head of DiHubMT, followed by an overview of the hub’s mission and services, including digital transformation support, technology testing, advisory services, and access to EU funding opportunities. 

Guests will then enjoy a guided tour of the DiHubMT premises, gaining first-hand insights into how the space fosters collaboration between startups, SMEs, and the public sector. 

The visit will conclude with networking with refreshments, courtesy of MDIA, setting the tone for meaningful connections ahead of MedTech Malta’s main conference days.

Established in 2018, the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) has been instrumental in nurturing Malta’s digital transformation journey. Its mandate extends beyond regulation, as the Authority plays a proactive role in fostering innovation, ensuring that new technologies thrive responsibly while aligning with international and EU standards.
