Nominations for the MedTech World Awards 2026 | Europe are officially open, giving startups, investors, service providers, hospitals, and healthcare leaders across Europe the chance to be recognised for their contribution to the MedTech ecosystem.
The awards will take place in Malta, closing off the week of the MedTech World Europe 2026 | Malta conference, with the ceremony held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC), Valletta, on 13 November. Nominations are open to all: companies, investors, service providers, institutions, and individuals alike.
This year’s awards are proudly powered by Blue Goat Cyber, Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA), Vektor Medical, and CLEIO.
The MedTech World Awards ceremony is an annual recognition programme celebrating innovation, leadership, and impact across the healthcare technology industry. It brings together the people and organisations driving progress in digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare delivery, culminating in a gala evening in Valletta that caps off MedTech World Europe 2026.
What categories can you nominate for?
Nominations span five core groups, covering the full spectrum of the MedTech ecosystem, from early-stage startups to lifetime achievement.
1. Startups and companies
Emerging MedTech Startup of the Year: Recognises early-stage startups showing exceptional promise and innovation.
Growth Stage MedTech Company of the Year: Celebrates scaling companies demonstrating strong commercial traction.
MedTech Innovation of the Year: Honours a standout technological or product innovation shaping the industry.
Digital Health Solution of the Year: Recognises a digital health product or platform driving measurable improvement in care.
Best Use of AI in Healthcare: Celebrates the most impactful application of artificial intelligence in a healthcare setting.
Wearable Health Technology of the Year: Honours innovation in wearable devices advancing patient monitoring and care.
FemTech Product of the Year: Recognises outstanding innovation addressing women’s health needs.
Patient Impact Award: Celebrates a solution or initiative delivering measurable, positive impact on patient outcomes.
Breakthrough Regulatory Approval of the Year: Recognises a significant regulatory milestone achieved by a MedTech innovation.
2. Investors
Family Office of the Year in MedTech Investment: Recognises a family office demonstrating strategic investment in MedTech.
Corporate Strategic Investor of the Year: Honours a corporate investor advancing innovation through strategic backing.
Health System VC of the Year: Celebrates a health-system-affiliated venture fund driving MedTech growth.
Growth or Late Stage VC of the Year: Recognises a venture firm backing MedTech companies at scale.
Angel Investor Group or Syndicate of the Year: Honours an angel network fuelling early-stage MedTech innovation.
Early Stage VC Firm of the Year: Celebrates a venture firm championing early-stage MedTech founders.
3. Service Providers
Best Strategy Consultancy of the Year: Recognises a consultancy delivering exceptional strategic guidance to MedTech companies.
Regulatory Consultancy of the Year: Honours excellence in navigating regulatory pathways for MedTech innovators.
Market Access and Reimbursement Consultancy of the Year: Celebrates expertise in helping MedTech products reach patients and payers.
CRO of the Year: Recognises a contract research organisation delivering outstanding clinical trial support.
Contract Manufacturer of the Year: Honours excellence in MedTech manufacturing and production partnerships.
4. Hospitals and Public Institutions
Hospital or Health System of the Year: Recognises a hospital or health system leading the way in adopting and implementing MedTech innovation.
5. Individual Recognition
Healthcare Innovation Leader of the Year: Celebrates an individual driving transformative change in healthcare.
Most Impactful Woman in Healthcare Leadership: Honours a woman making a significant leadership impact in the sector.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognises an individual’s outstanding, career-long contribution to MedTech and healthcare.

How do you nominate for the MedTech World Awards?
The nomination process is simple and open to everyone. To nominate yourself or someone else, complete the nomination form, explain why the individual or organisation deserves recognition, and outline their contribution to the healthcare and MedTech ecosystem.
Once nominations close, the MedTech World jury reviews all submissions and selects the top candidates in each category. Here’s how the timeline unfolds:
26 October: Finalists are announced, and public voting opens.
9 November: Public voting closes.
13 November: Winners are announced at the awards ceremony.
This process allows the wider MedTech and healthcare community to play a direct role in recognising excellence across the ecosystem.
Where and when is the MedTech World Awards ceremony?
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony held in La Valette Hall at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta, Malta, on 13 November 2026.
Entry to the ceremony is reserved for platinum ticket holders only, granting access to the gala dinner, live entertainment, and the full awards evening.
Supporting a cause: The MedTech World charity auction
Alongside the awards, a signature charity auction is organised in collaboration with the SiGMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SiGMA Group. The auction raises vital funds for global initiatives supporting healthcare, education, and community development projects. Through the industry’s collective efforts, these contributions continue to deliver tangible impact in underserved regions.
