The Maltese Association of Psychiatric Nurses (MAPN) is a registered VO, independently regulated by its own statute and its own elected council. It was founded on the 11th of May 2006 to improve and recognize the roles & standards of Psychiatric Nursing in Malta, with the aim to empower, educate and strengthen the role of the nurse in mental health and actively participate in mental health promotion among the Maltese population

Malta College of Family Doctors

The Malta College of Family Doctors is the professional body for general (medical) practitioners / family doctors in Malta. Its mission is to encourage, set and maintain the highest possible standards in the specialty of Family Medicine / General Practice in Malta. The College represents Family Medicine specialists within the Medical Specialist Accreditation Committee of Malta. General practice has been recognised as a medical specialty in Malta since its accession in the European Union in 2004.

The Malta Health Students’ Association

The Malta Health Students’ Association is a senate recognized students’ association within the University of Malta.

Fresh off it’s 10 year anniversary, the organisation’s main goal for the year is to further promote the work being done and to continue to match the milestones reached in the years prior, such as the efforts made to promote public health to both University students and to the general public, shed light on diseases through our various campaigns and awareness days, as well as being at the forefront to help students during their time at University

The Psychedelic Medicine Association is a society of physicians, therapists, and health care professionals looking to advance their education on the therapeutic uses of psychedelic medicines. The Psychedelic Medicine Association (PMA) is a public benefit corporation of healthcare providers aimed at bridging the gap between the advances taking place in the psychedelic research world and medical practitioners.

Malta Health Network

The Malta Health Network (MHN) promotes the health-related interests of patients and the wider community by updating itself about international ‘best practices’ and ‘capacity-building’. The MHN achieves this through its regular contacts with local and international health-related Governmental Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, ‘Not-for-Profit’ Organisations and Patient Representative Groups. In order to promote the health-related interests of patients and the wider community, the Malta Health Network (MHN) updates itself about ‘best practices’ and ‘capacity building’ through its regular contacts with health-related Governmental Organisations (GOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), ‘Not-for-Profit’ Organisations (NPOs) and Patient Representative Groups (PRGs). The MHN strives to give patients a voice in health-related for a in Malta, in the EU and internationally. The MHN is independent of the Government of Malta and of any political party  or organization. When the MHN was established in 2007, it represented 20 founder-organisations: as of 2021 it represents 40. The MHN is especially active in promoting The European Charter of Patients’ Rights.

Founded on the 2nd December 1992, the Malta Chamber of Scientists (MCS) is a learned society and organisation of professionals, academics, teachers and students involved in the field of science. We endeavour to act as a centre point for making new contacts, as well as a hub for the discussion and exchange of innovative ideas.
