A Certified Health Information Manager (CHIM) with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Health Information Management (HIM) from Curtin University of Technology in Australia. He has more than 30 years of experience in Health Information Management (HIM), Health Information Systems (HIS), CDI, Clinical Coding and Case-mix Management. Hussein served as a senior consultant for the Vision Realization Office (VRO) at the Ministry of Health. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) by the US Healthcare Finance Association (HFMA). Hussein is also the co-founder of the Global Health Workforce Council established in Chicago in 2014-2016.In 2016, the International Federation for Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA) elected Hussein as the IFHIMA Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Region for the two terms 2016-2022. In 2024, Hussein was nominated as a member of the ACDIS Leadership Council and the NAHRI Leadership Council.
