The Healthcare Metaverse: The good, the bad, and the ugly
Med-Cann starts in a week, and we can’t be more excited to host some of the most influential people in the space in Malta at the Hilton Conference Centre.
This two-day event will be filled with educational content, updates on what’s new and improved since last year and more importantly, an excellent chance to network with like-minded people and businesses. It will be a great opportunity to discuss with others facing the same day-to-day hurdles, learn how to overcome those roadblocks, and anticipate the transformations within the industry that are coming in a time when growth and legalization are intersecting in new markets almost every day.
Malta remains at the forefront of Medical Cannabis through regulation that specifically targets this and helps people who suffer from debilitating conditions who can visit one of the doctors approved by the Malta Medical Council, to acquire a prescription for medicinal preparations of cannabis. It has essentially become the Medical Cannabis Capital of Europe something that should be celebrated, applauded and built upon. Whilst already well established globally within both the growing and processing of cannabis for medical purposes, the potential for growth remains. The Malta Medicines Authority remains pivotal in ensuring appropriate regulation and monitoring with full transparency and dedication as a result Malta remains a prime location for cannabis-focussed investors.
Having supported the Med-Tech event since 2019 both Matt Lawson and I regard this as the premier European conference and a World Leader – the support at Government level and the outstanding organisation by SIGMA set the event apart.
Medicinal Cannabis and Med-Tech are at the forefront of patient access, professional adoption and delivery mechanism development. We view the conference as a key opportunity to meet and discuss industry issues with medical professionals, government ministers from multiple jurisdictions, leaders in the field of medical technology and a global network of friends. This year we are honoured to be hosting members of the Thai government and forging further relationships with regulatory authorities in all parts of the globe.
Our focus as a consultancy, engaged by both governments and corporations, is to facilitate an efficiently regulated market place which allows economic generation, patient access, medical research and a transparent regulatory pathway. We have been instrumental in the drafting and subsequent implementation of regulations in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa and the Caucasus regions. Trusted by both governments and private clients, we can offer bespoke assistance for licensing, cultivation, production and accreditation. – Mr. Stephen Oliver, Co-Founder at The Canna Consultants
We aim to continue building upon the success of our previous events and we invite you to join over 50 influential leaders from across the world, solely focused on medical cannabis and plant medicine. We’ve invited guests all the way from Thailand, Israel, Europe and beyond. Esteemed key industry leaders such as Matthew Lawson, Stephen Oliver, Prof Hinanit Koltai, Dr. Thongchai Lertwilairattanapong are joining us, with several companies based in Malta eager to feature too. – Dr. Dylan Attard, Conference CEO & Co-Chair.
It’s time for the medical cannabis industry to come together, drive economic growth but more importantly be the advocate for present and future patients that will be helped tremendously by research, innovation and investment. Explore our agenda in here.
