Pitching Competition Highlights: Retia Medical Emerges Victorious
The summit’s second day featured a highly anticipated pitching competition, with Retia Medical claiming victory. The judging panel praised Retia for the Argos Cardiac Output monitor, recognizing its novelty, feasibility, market potential, and overall impact on healthcare. The device enables individualized, data-driven care with the aim of preventing complications.
Marc Zemel, founder of Retia Medical, expressed his gratitude for the prestigious honor, stating, “Everyone of the entrants was fantastic, and I was so impressed with the quality of the field. It was way more than I expected.”
Their solution is called the Argos Cardiac Output monitor, which enables individualised, data-driven care that aims to prevent complications.
Retia concluded with a view to the future, looking to continue to drive revenue in their base, New York, and continue to care for their high-risk patients. Affording some valuable advice to any future pitch winners Zemmel encouraged founders to practice their pitch as many times as need be, get their story right and tight whilst obviously not losing focus on building the business as that it what will ultimately win at the end of the day.
