On Day 0 of MedTech World North America | West Palm Beach 2026, a select group of investors will gather behind closed doors for a focused discussion. Powered by Greenberg Traurig, the Investor-Only Forum, taking place on May 11, 2026, from 14:00 to 16:30 at Capony by Hilton, West Palm Beach, is designed for those who actively invest in MedTech.

This is a curated environment where capital allocators come together to exchange insights, discuss challenges, and identify areas of interest within the MedTech sector.

Apply for the MedTech World Investor-Only Forum here.

A room built for investors

The MedTech World Investor-Only Forum is limited to active participants in the MedTech investment ecosystem. Venture capital firms, angel investors, family offices, corporate venture arms, and hospital investment representatives are invited to apply.

Each application is reviewed by the MedTech World team, with participation granted based on eligibility criteria. This ensures that discussions remain relevant and grounded in real investment experience.

Focused conversations

The format allows for open discussion among investors on topics such as:

  • Evaluating risk in the current regulatory and funding environment
  • Identifying meaningful innovation
  • Understanding founder expectations and common gaps
  • Approaches to capital allocation across stages

Without a large audience, participants can engage in direct and practical conversations with peers.

Perspectives from previous attendees

Feedback from previous editions reflects the value of these interactions.

Chris Japp, Managing Partner at Tramway Ventures

“I enjoyed sharing some of the inside baseball of how VCs look at promising startups and what important factors weigh into our decisions on whether to invest or not. Being at MedTech World North America 2025 was a great opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and other investors in an intimate setting where real discussions could take place and valuable information could be exchanged.”

“The MedTech World North America conference stands out from other industry events I’ve attended, thanks to its uniquely high ratio of investors to entrepreneurs. The event created the conditions for meaningful relationship-building in a concentrated window of time. I left with new connections, clear next steps, and real momentum.”

Who you’ll meet and what to expect

Across the three days, participation is expected from organisations including Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Boston Scientific, Cleveland Clinic Ventures, Edge Medical Ventures, Ballad Health, BlackPoint Capital, SV Health Investors, Rex Health Ventures, Modi Ventures, Sugati Ventures, Mayo Clinic Ventures, Medtronic, Cedars-Sinai Ventures, Northwell Holdings, UCI Ventures, Cincinnati Children’s Innovation Ventures, Tampa General Hospital, Tramway Ventures and Texas Medical Center, alongside venture funds, family offices, and corporate innovation teams.

The broader programme is designed to create practical opportunities for investors, including:

  • High-potential MedTech startups actively raising capital
  • Private networking opportunities with family offices and institutional investors
  • Health systems and strategics exploring partnerships and acquisitions

At the centre of the exhibition floor is the Startup Village, sponsored by Beacon Launch Partners, where early and growth-stage companies will showcase technologies and engage directly with investors.

The MedTech World Startup Pitch Competition, powered by Blue Goat Cyber and Malta Enterprise, will feature 10 selected high-potential startups pitching live on stage. These companies will be evaluated by a panel of investors, offering a structured view into emerging opportunities.

Investment-focused discussions across the programme

In addition to the Investor-Only Forum, the agenda includes several panels tailored to investor priorities:

  • “Where the Smart Money Is Going: A Frank Look at MedTech Capital in 2026”: This session examines where capital is being allocated, which themes are gaining attention, and what differentiates companies in a more selective funding environment.
  • “Hospital Venture Funds: Where Capital Meets Clinical Innovation”: This discussion looks at how hospital-backed funds support startups through clinical access, validation pathways, and co-development opportunities.
  • “Strategic Money, Strategic Risk: What Corporate Venture Really Wants from MedTech”: This panel explores how corporate investors assess opportunities through both financial and strategic lenses, and how priorities influence investment decisions.
  • “Family Offices & Alternative Capital in MedTech: Investing Beyond the VC Model”: This session focuses on how non-traditional investors approach risk, timelines, and market opportunity, and how founders can engage with this group.

A practical starting point

Taking place before the main conference begins, the MedTech World Investor-Only Forum provides investors with an opportunity to connect with peers early and exchange perspectives ahead of the wider programme.

For those attending MedTech World North America, it provides time to engage with other investors and discuss priorities in a smaller setting.

Apply to join

Participation in the Investor-Only Forum is limited and subject to approval. All attendees must hold a valid conference pass.
