Following a successful North America edition in Florida, MedTech World is now preparing for its next flagship event in Hong Kong, where industry leaders, investors, startups, and healthcare stakeholders will convene from 26 to 28 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The organisation will then continue its global calendar with MedTech World Europe in Malta from 11 to 13 November, further expanding its international reach across key healthcare and innovation hubs.

The North America 2026 summit brought together more than 600 attendees from 26 countries, reflecting continued international interest in conversations around investment, commercialisation, regulation, AI integration, and cross-border collaboration in healthcare and MedTech. The event featured over 125 speakers and welcomed a strong presence of startups, investors, and senior decision-makers from across the sector.

With 89% of attendees holding C-level positions and investors representing 25% of participants, the Florida summit created an environment focused on partnerships, business development, and practical discussions around healthcare innovation. More than 50 sponsors and partners supported the event, alongside a startup presence that accounted for 40% of attendees.

In a statement following the summit, Dr. Dylan Attard, CEO and Co-founder of MedTech World, thanked the sponsors, partners, speakers, startups, and attendees for their contributions to the event’s success.

“The level of engagement we saw in Florida reflects the continued demand for meaningful conversations and partnerships across the healthcare and MedTech sectors. We are grateful to our sponsors, partners, speakers, and community members for their support and participation. We now look forward to bringing that momentum to Hong Kong this August and continuing those conversations later this year in Malta.”

Across the three-day programme, discussions addressed the operational realities shaping MedTech today, from reimbursement and market access to funding conditions, clinical adoption, and scaling globally. The exhibition floor and Startup Village remained active throughout the event, while networking meetings and investor conversations continued across dedicated one-to-one meeting spaces.

The MedTech World Startup Pitch Competition also drew significant attention, giving emerging companies the opportunity to present their technologies before investors, corporate leaders, and healthcare stakeholders.

As the organisation now turns its focus toward Asia, preparations are already underway for the upcoming Hong Kong edition. Interest in speaking opportunities and partnerships has accelerated in recent weeks, with speaking slots filling quickly ahead of the August programme.

The Hong Kong event is set to continue many of the discussions initiated in Florida while placing greater focus on the Asia-Pacific healthcare ecosystem, international market expansion, investment activity, and collaboration among startups, corporates, clinicians, and policymakers.

MedTech World has also confirmed that its North America Summit will return to Florida from 5 to 7 May 2027, building on the momentum established during this year’s edition and reinforcing the region’s role in the organisation’s long-term global strategy.

The upcoming Hong Kong edition followed by Malta are set to further expand MedTech World’s international platform, connecting global healthcare stakeholders through discussions, networking, investment opportunities, and startup engagement. Book your ticket now.
