MedTech World is joining forces with Startup World Cup, the global startup competition series powered by Pegasus Tech Ventures, to bring a high-stakes startup pitch competition to Hong Kong this year. The competition will take place on 28 August, closing out the three-day flagship event, MedTech World Asia 2026 | Hong Kong, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
For early-stage medtech founders, this isn’t just another pitch stage. It’s a direct pathway to global investors, industry mentors, and a shot at a $1 million prize in San Francisco.

On the final day of MedTech World Asia 2026, ten handpicked startups will take the stage to pitch their innovations in front of a panel of judges, investors, and industry leaders. The event is designed to spotlight some of the region’s most promising medtech ventures and connect them with the people who can help scale their businesses.

This Hong Kong edition is one leg of a much bigger journey. Startup World Cup runs more than 100 regional competitions across over 20 countries each year, all feeding into a single Grand Finale in Silicon Valley. The top-performing startup from the Hong Kong pitch will earn its place at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale, held November 4–6, 2026 at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco.
