A strong start in Singapore: MedTech World and MedTech Actuator open with innovation, connections, and momentum  

MedTech World’s presence in Singapore began on a high note with an exclusive networking evening on 30 September, co-hosted alongside MedTech Actuator. The evening brought together founders, innovators, investors, and leaders from across the MedTech ecosystem, setting the stage for the main conference tomorrow. 

A warm welcome and shared vision 

The evening opened with a welcome from MedTech Actuator and MedTech World. Both teams highlighted their shared mission of supporting MedTech growth across the APAC region and beyond. Their remarks underscored the importance of collaboration, especially at a time when regional ecosystems are becoming increasingly interconnected.

Dr. Dylan Attard, CEO, MedTech World, reflected on the atmosphere of the evening and the opportunities ahead: 

“Tonight was about more than introductions. It was about igniting conversations that will continue tomorrow and well into the future. What stood out most was the openness of everyone in the room to connect and share ideas. Spotlight on startups and ecosystem players 

A highlight of the evening was the startup and ecosystem roulette pitches—fast-paced, 60-second introductions drawn at random. Three startups and three ecosystem representatives took the stage, each delivering concise and impactful pitches without slides. This format not only sparked curiosity but also showcased the breadth of ideas and solutions emerging within the MedTech space. 

These rapid-fire pitches served as conversation starters, drawing attendees together to explore potential collaborations and exchange insights.

“This was the first time we partnered with MedTech Actuator, and our networking event turned out to be a great success. The strong turnout, featuring not only participants from Singapore but also a diverse mix of investors, startups, service providers, and ecosystem leaders from beyond its borders, highlighted the value of building such connections. This collaboration was particularly important for our ongoing efforts in the Asia-Pacific region, as it allowed us to strengthen relationships, explore new opportunities, and helping MedTech World strengthen its presence as a platform where valuable relationships and opportunities take shape in this vibrant market.” 

An evening of mingling 

The formal program transitioned into a mingling session, where participants connected over shared interests, discussed emerging trends, and began building relationships ahead of the conference. The relaxed atmosphere allowed for both professional and personal exchanges, creating a sense of community among attendees.

The networking evening was only the beginning. With such strong momentum, the stage is now set for a full day of panels, keynotes, and collaborations tomorrow, where the focus will shift to deeper conversations and actionable insights for the MedTech community in Singapore and across the APAC region.
