MedTech World and SHIMA Sign MoU to Advance Health Informatics in GCC and AMEA
MedTech World has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Health Information Management Association (SHIMA), marking a significant step in expanding its presence across the GCC and AMEA regions. As a member of the International Federation for Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA), SHIMA plays a vital role in advancing health informatics and digital health.
Through this partnership, MedTech World aims to collaborate with key regional stakeholders to enhance workforce development and digital health initiatives in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Commenting on the MoU, Hussein Albishi, President of SHIMA, said: “We are excited to sign this promising partnership with MedTech World. I believe this collaboration will elevate health informatics in the region, particularly in terms of workforce development and enabling digital health in Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries.”

With a strong emphasis on networking and collaboration, MedTech World Dubai served as a key platform for engaging with stakeholders in the GCC and AMEA regions. Partnering with SHIMA builds on these efforts, as MedTech World expands its presence and collaborates with local experts to advance digital health.
As MedTech World continues its global engagements, the team is now headed to Houston for MedTech Houston Rodeo on 13 March 2025, further strengthening connections across the healthcare technology sector.
