Mubadala Investment Company has officially launched Mubadala Bio, a new life sciences company designed to boost the UAE’s healthcare capabilities and establish Abu Dhabi as a global hub for medical innovation and biopharma manufacturing. The announcement underscores Mubadala’s long-term strategy to advance national drug security, support economic diversification, and accelerate better health outcomes both locally and globally.
Positioned as a National Champion, Mubadala Bio reflects the UAE’s deepening commitment to building a resilient healthcare infrastructure and knowledge-based economy. The company’s launch represents a strategic pivot toward greater healthcare resilience, expanded access to high-quality therapeutics, and accelerated production and distribution capacity from the UAE to the world.
With a portfolio of 10 facilities across Asia, Africa, and Europe, including six based in the UAE, Mubadala Bio brings integrated manufacturing capabilities to more than 100 countries. These facilities collectively produce over 2.5 billion tablets and capsules, 120 million IVs and injectables annually, and cover 110,000 square meters of production space.
The company’s product pipeline addresses some of the world’s most pressing therapeutic needs and supports the full continuum of care, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment, ongoing support, and complementary medicine.
By leveraging long-term collaborations with global industry leaders and academic institutions, Mubadala Bio is positioned to accelerate innovation, cultivate world-class talent, and drive local biopharma development.

Taking place from 11-13 November 2026, MedTech Malta Week expands the traditional conference into a five-day experience across Malta and Gozo, bringing together investors, founders, healthcare leaders, innovators, and industry experts from across the global MedTech ecosystem.
