The Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Society of Malta (LESM) will host a dedicated one-day surgical conference as part of MedTech Malta 2025, taking place on 14th November at the historic Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta.
“This unique event highlights the newest breakthroughs and state-of-the-art techniques revolutionizing surgical care,” says Mr. Predrag Andrejevic, Consultant General Surgeon at Mater Dei Hospital and President of LESM.
With the theme “Today, Tomorrow and Beyond… Bringing Innovation into General Surgery,” this event will explore the real-world impact of innovation in surgical practice, from artificial intelligence and robotic surgery to endoluminal techniques for bariatric and metabolic procedures.
This LESM-led conference will welcome six internationally recognized experts in general surgery.
They will be joined by a strong faculty of local professionals, including Hon. Dr. Jo-Etienne Abela, Minister for Health and Active Ageing, Malta; Prof. John Abela; Mr. Clifford Caruana; Mr. Predrag Andrejevic; Mr. Charles Cini; Mr. Neville Spiteri; Mr. Christian Camenzuli; and Mr. Noel Cassar from Mater Dei Hospital, reinforcing Malta’s position as a growing centre for surgical training and clinical dialogue.
