Med-Tech World holds gala awards celebration

The Med-Tech Awards took place this November – held as part of the SiGMA Group’s annual Malta Week event. The glamorous gala evening, presented by Jess Walker and Steve Roest, saw some of the industry’s brightest minds come together in celebration of this year’s most prestigious achievements.

The evening also saw a number of generously donated artworks go under the hammer in aid of the SiGMA Foundation’s charitable projects. Presented by Rick Goddard, an oil painting by Derek Mason of an abstract-style red tree sold for E2000, while Open Heart, an artwork by Anna Bukhareva, went for E150. The Malta Week event raised a total of E109,500 through its auction events, funds which will be diverted towards a number of Foundation projects in 2023.

The MDIA, who were the main sponsors of the evening, also awarded a special award – the MDIA Recognition of the Night to Roseanne Camilleri, Head of Primary Care.
