Neko Health, the preventive health technology company co-founded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, has raised $700 million in a Series C funding round as it prepares to launch its services in the United States.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and co-led by O.G. Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Atomico, General Catalyst, and Lakestar, alongside new investors Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum, and BDT & MSD. The investment follows the company’s $260 million Series B round announced in January 2025.

As part of the financing, David Ofer of O.G. Venture Partners is expected to join Neko Health’s Board of Directors, subject to regulatory approval.

Founded in 2023, Neko Health is focused on shifting healthcare from treating disease to preventing it through comprehensive health assessments powered by proprietary technology. The company has developed the Neko Health Scan, a 60-minute, non-invasive and radiation-free assessment that combines proprietary sensors with blood analysis to capture millions of health data points.

Priced at £299 in the UK and 2,750 SEK in Sweden, the scan evaluates skin health, blood biomarkers, cardiovascular risk factors, metabolic health, and other indicators linked to chronic disease. Results are reviewed with a medical professional during the same visit, providing members with personalized recommendations based on their findings.

The latest funding will support the company’s expansion into the US while accelerating research and development across its technology platform.

“This funding is a strong vote of confidence in what we set out to do when we opened our first clinic three years ago: a completely new healthcare experience designed to keep people healthy, catch problems early and help prevent disease before it even starts,” said Hjalmar Nilsonne, Co-Founder and CEO of Neko Health.

He added that the investment would enable the company to continue developing technologies that make preventive healthcare more scalable while bringing its model to the US market for the first time.

What makes Neko Health’s preventive health scans different?

Neko Health recently introduced one of its largest product updates by adding body composition analysis and clinician review of wearable device data to its health scan. These new capabilities provide members with a broader picture of their health between annual visits.

The company also opened a new clinic in Stockholm featuring its next-generation medical devices: Derma-2, Echo-2, and Spectrum-2, which are designed to capture higher-quality health signals across skin, cardiac, and circulatory health while increasing automation within clinical workflows. The upgraded hardware is expected to be deployed across all Neko Health clinics in the coming months.

Unlike many digital health providers, Neko develops its hardware, software, and consumer platform entirely in-house. This vertically integrated approach enables continuous improvements across both the clinical experience and the underlying technology, allowing the company to rapidly introduce new capabilities while maintaining control over every stage of the patient journey.

Investor confidence reflects both the company’s rapid growth and growing interest in preventive healthcare globally. The funding round also attracted several high-profile investors, including Tim Ferriss, Maria Sharapova, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Thierry Henry, and will.i.am, among others.

Since launching in February 2023, Neko Health has expanded across Sweden and the UK, with clinics operating in Stockholm, Manchester, Birmingham, and multiple London locations. More than 350,000 people have registered for a scan, while over 100,000 members have completed one.

The company reports strong customer retention, with approximately 75% of members booking and prepaying for their next annual scan before leaving their appointment.

Neko Health also shared early clinical outcomes from returning members. According to the company, three out of four returning members who had previously been identified with severe or life-threatening conditions were either in good health or had their conditions under control. Additionally, five of seven key health biomarkers showed statistically significant improvement between members’ first and second scans, supporting the company’s focus on early detection and preventive care.
