For the ninth time, and seventh year running, Houston Methodist Hospital has earned a place on U.S. News & World Report’s prestigious Honor Roll, distinguishing it as one of the best hospitals in the nation. The flagship academic medical center was also ranked the No. 1 hospital in Texas for the 14th consecutive year, reaffirming its longstanding leadership in patient care, research, and innovation.
But it’s not just the central hospital making headlines. A number of Houston Methodist’s entity hospitals also made impressive gains in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report state and metro rankings, showing the system’s strength across the Greater Houston region.

This recognition reflects not only clinical performance but also the institution’s emphasis on forward-thinking research and innovation, a priority that’s particularly evident at the Center for Rapid Device Translation, Houston Methodist’s platform for accelerating the journey of medical technologies from concept to clinic.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital ranked No. 8 in Texas and No. 5 in the Houston metro area.
Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital tied for No. 9 in Texas and secured the No. 6 position in the Houston metro area. It also gained national recognition for its diabetes and endocrinology specialty, coming in at No. 45.
Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital ranked No. 12 in Texas and No. 7 in the Houston metro area. It received dual national rankings—No. 47 in both diabetes and endocrinology and cardiology, heart and vascular surgery.
Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital made it to No. 21 in Texas and No. 9 in the Houston metro area.
These rankings are based on various performance indicators, including patient outcomes, patient experience, and hospital reputation among specialists.
