The buzz begins: Media gathers at the historic MCC as MedTech Malta 2025 comes to life 

The atmosphere in Valletta is electric as MedTech Malta 2025 officially begins its pre-conference day, setting the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable week of innovation, collaboration, and connection. 

From early morning cultural tours to exclusive industry previews, Day 0 has already offered attendees a glimpse of what makes Malta not only a hub for MedTech but a home for its growing global community. 

Media spotlight: Malta’s top news outlets visit the MCC 

The spotlight today turned to the historic Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC), soon to host more than 2,000 MedTech professionals, investors, and innovators from around the world. 

In a special media preview, leading Maltese outlets, including Times of Malta, PBS, and One News, joined Dr. Dylan Attard, CEO of MedTech World, for a behind-the-scenes look at the final preparations. 

Walking through the venue’s grand halls, Dr. Attard shared his excitement for the days ahead while showcasing the booths, installations, and setups taking shape across the MCC’s storied corridors. 

“This is where it all began,” said Dr. Dylan Attard, gesturing toward the bustling setup.  

“Five years ago, MedTech World started right here in Malta. Since then, we’ve taken our mission across continents, connecting people and ideas that move healthcare forward. Bringing everyone back to where it started feels incredibly special. This event is the culmination of a year-long journey bringing our community together once again.”

The day began with cultural tours across Malta, allowing MedTech Malta 2025 attendees to immerse themselves in the island’s rich heritage before diving into the week’s busy agenda. Participants also joined the MDIA DiHubMT x Digital Innovation Hub Tour, an inspiring showcase of Malta’s growing ecosystem of digital and healthcare innovation, setting the stage for the conversations to come. 

As the afternoon transitions into evening, three exclusive forums will bring together select leaders and partners for in-depth discussions on regulation, investment, and global collaboration. These sessions serve as a prelude to the high-level networking that defines MedTech Malta each year. 

Later tonight, attendees will gather for an informal pre-registration and networking reception, offering a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new peers, and soak in the atmosphere before the main conference officially begins tomorrow.
