Europe’s leading medical technology summit, MedTech World, ended this Friday (8) with the awards gala held in the historic La Valette Hall, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valetta, Malta. With over 1,500 attendees, the event gathered innovators and investors to catalyse progress in medical technology and empower healthcare transformation.
The event, which had the Malta Digital Innovation Authority MDIA as its main sponsor, was hosted by Mark Borg and Olga Yaroshevsky. The entertainment for the evening included a mersmerizing performance by Yada Dance group. The evening also included a charity auction for the SiGMA Foundation and a spotlight on Stand Speak Rise Up!, a non-profit organisation founded in 2019 during an international forum organized by Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. The initiative emerged from a collaboration with the Dr. Mukwege Foundation and the NGO We are NOT Weapons of War, aiming to address and combat wartime sexual violence and its consequences, particularly focusing on survivors and children born as a result of such violence.

Goodwin Procter LLP – The prize recognises the consultancy demonstrating exceptional expertise in navigating regulatory requirements.
PLEXāā – This award highlights the most innovative and impactful product designed specifically for women’s health and wellness.
FINN Partners – This award recognises the corporate service provider demonstrating exceptional support and excellence in services across various sectors.
Julie Rachline, Founder & President Lallianse, CEO Braintale – The award celebrates exceptional leadership and innovation by a woman making significant contributions to the HealthTech industry. This accolade honours her impact on advancing healthcare through technology, driving change, and inspiring the next generation of female leaders in the field.
Dr. Zied Tayeb, Co-Founder & CEO at Myelin-H. – The prize celebrates an up-and-coming individual or organisation showing great potential and promise in medical technology.

MedTech Color – This award recognises MedTech Color’s contribution to diversity in the field by increasing the representation and participation of Black and Hispanic individuals in clinical trials and medical device development through training, recruitment and retention, and strategic collaborations.
