Scheduled for February 24th, 2025, at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel, the event will bring together a select group of global health innovators, investors, regional government authorities, healthcare providers, and MedTech stakeholders to explore opportunities, challenges, and future pathways for healthcare in the region.
Concluded earlier this month, MedTech Malta 2024 brought together over 1,200 attendees, including 35% from startups and innovators, 25% from service providers, and 13% from investors, underscoring a focus on fresh ideas, partnerships, and funding. Government and NGOs made up 12%, hospitals and physicians 7%, media 4%, and another 4% from diverse sectors, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Key participants hailed from the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India. MedTech World is now shifting its attention to the GCC with its upcoming event in Dubai.
A Comprehensive Agenda on Key MedTech Topics
MedTech World Dubai 2025 will present an in-depth agenda featuring discussions and presentations on the MedTech market landscape in the GCC, focusing on import challenges and market entry opportunities such as registration and licensing. The event will also explore the latest developments in connected care, including health information exchange, wearables, mHealth, and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). With the rapid rise of health span and longevity technologies, participants will discuss digital health, wellness, and precision healthcare solutions that are designed to enhance quality of life and promote preventive health. Artificial intelligence will be another key focus area, as experts address how AI is reshaping healthcare data processing, diagnostic support, and decision-making within the MedTech sector. Additional sessions will delve into the UAE’s evolving digital health innovation and investment ecosystem, exploring the roles of accelerators, government bodies, and corporations in fostering a dynamic healthcare landscape.
Mental health initiatives will also feature prominently, with a focus on how industry stakeholders can innovate to support better mental health outcomes in the region. As part of the event’s investment-focused sessions, “Becoming Investable” will provide startups with insights into the GCC’s investor landscape, where family offices, private equity, venture capitalists, and angel investors will share investment criteria and pathways to becoming investment-ready. The day will culminate in an exciting startup pitch competition, offering entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their solutions to potential investors and partners.
