MedTech World is excited to announce MedTech Malta 2024
After four unique roadshows, hundreds of impactful meetups, and half a dozen pitch competitions, MedTech World is excited to announce the official launch of this year’s MedTech Malta, our flagship event coming this November!
Choose Malta for MedTech
All roads lead to home, and for us, that’s the island of Malta, the idyllic jewel of the Mediterranean.
Malta’s promising economic landscape makes it an ideal hub for MedTech startups. At MedTech World, we’re excited to welcome both new and returning guests to an unparalleled conference experience within the historic and enrapturing Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta.
Keynotes, panels, and pitch competitions await you in a content line-up that surpasses last year’s event. CEOs and investors can also attend exclusive workshops during the Day-0 events.
We’re not just about business. While you’re here, enjoy the Valletta Cultural Tour, showcasing the capital’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. Evening events offer fun networking opportunities amidst Malta’s stunning 16th-century fortifications, culminating in a star-studded closing party.
And of course, don’t miss our most spectacular night—the Awards Gala, celebrating the best and brightest in our industry.
Elite speaker lineup
Every year, we are honoured to host industry leaders who will discuss groundbreaking healthcare trends. This year, expect no less, with KOLs lining up to grace both of our main stages and ready to guide you on your exploration of cutting-edge healthcare trends.
Followers of our newsletter will know that the first 50 key speakers have been announced. We are honoured to host experts such as:
- Thom Rasche – Managing Partner at Earlybird Venture Capital, expert in healthcare and finance.
- Austin Lee Chiang – Chief Medical Officer at Medtronic, global endoscopy, leading medical affairs and innovation.
- Assaf Barnea – Leader at Sanara Ventures, specialising in healthcare technologies.
- Sanchita Pasi – Senior Investment Manager at SAGANA, focusing on global healthcare investments.

- Dr. Khulood Alsayegh – Healthcare leader at Dubai Health Authority, expert in clinical standards and AI ethics.
Startups stealing the show
Last year, we hosted 150 startups in our Startup Village, attracting visits from over 1,700 attendees, including 100 investors from the US, Middle East, and Europe. The event also drew visits from government officials and key investors, resulting in over 100 successful deals.
This year, our visiting entrepreneurs can expect more clout, with the excitement peaking with the most promising startups competing on stage in the Pitch Competition for the trophy and glory.
Groundbreaking Partnerships
We’re always eager and ready to host an exceptional medical convention. While miracles might be beyond our reach, we thrive on partnerships and collaborations. By pooling our strengths, MedTech World ensures our attendees get the best value for their investment.
