Our reach stretching its legs to 5,000 newsletter subscribers is a big deal. The cherry on top? CPD-accredited events and new roadshows in London and Istanbul, promoting our impact to global status.

From our first-ever online conference in 2020 to the grand physical summit at the Hilton Conference Centre in 2021, and the globe-trotting roadshows in 2022, every year has been a stepping stone to the triumph we’re high-fiving ourselves for today.

Med-Tech World 2023 – Setting the bar sky-high

The Med-Tech World Malta show hit it out of the park last October, captivating over 1500 industry pros, featuring 200 speakers, and getting the nod from 100 sponsors and investors. Held at the historically rich Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta, Malta, the summit didn’t just level up – it became an experience you’d want to dive into headfirst.

Picture this: the glamour of the Med-Tech Awards, the thrill of the Startup Pitch Competition, the enlightened vibes of the CEO-only Forum, and the worldly flair of the Cultural Tour—all summiting in some top-notch Networking Events.

In a momentous announcement this May, 2023, Med-Tech World Summit joined forces with Lifeblood | Capital + Talent, a top-tier talent acquisition firm dedicated to MedTech startups.

This strategic alliance isn’t just a handshake; it’s a pact for pushing boundaries in the dynamic MedTech industry. United under a common banner, Lifeblood and Med-Tech World Summit are on a mission to spark collaboration, nurture groundbreaking innovation, and weave tight connections between industry moguls and visionary investors.

Inaugural roadshow: Istanbul, bridging nations through innovation 

On June 20th, 2023, the curtains rose for the Med-Tech World Istanbul Roadshow, a blockbuster event that hit the ground running with resounding success. This roadshow wasn’t just an event; it was a powerhouse, delivering a wealth of industry-leading insights focused on the medical landscapes of Turkey and Malta, and how they hold sway over global markets.

Delegates dove deep into discussions dissecting the Turkish Ecosystem, exploring its opportunities, and navigating the challenging terrain. A stellar lineup of speakers, including Zafer Toksoz, Founder & President of Toksoz Group, Burak Ozkosem Ph.D., Founder & CEO of Pera Labs, and Prof. Perinur Eker Bozaykut, Associate Professor at Acibadem University, graced the stage with insights. Additional gems were dropped by Mr. Kurt Farrugia, CEO at Malta Enterprise, and Dr. Dylan Attard, CEO at Med-Tech World Summit.

When Kurt Farrugia took the spotlight, he laid out the ambitious blueprint of Malta Enterprise. Initially rooted in manufacturing, Malta Enterprise has embraced the winds of change, expanding into the realm of emerging technologies. With a laser focus on pharma technologies, Malta Enterprise has set its sights on cultivating a bespoke ecosystem.

The Med-Tech World Roadshow in London, held in May, left an indelible mark, resonating with participants eager for future collaborations. This smashing success was a collaborative masterpiece, thanks to influential partners like YouTube Health, StartUp Health, and Malta Enterprise.

At the heart of the roadshow was a keynote address on the YouTube Health Initiative, delivered by Dr. Vishaal Virani. Representing the UK arm of this global force, Dr. Virani passionately highlighted YouTube’s commitment to delivering top-notch health information to a vast audience.

The event’s agenda also featured a compelling panel discussion led by Logan Plaster, Chief Content Officer at StartUp Health. Plaster’s warm welcome set the tone for a lively discussion, touching on the vital role of relationships and community in the healthcare industry. 

As personal anecdotes were shared, the room buzzed with enthusiasm, laying the foundation for exciting collaborations in the ever-evolving landscape of medical technology.

Return roadshow: Dubai, pioneering HealthTech innovation

The second year of the Med-Tech World Summit in Dubai was a hit! Held at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City, this event was all about connecting and gaining insights in the vibrant landscape of UAE’s healthcare innovation. 

After a stellar debut in 2022, the summit welcomed global leaders, industry pros, and startups eager to push health technology to new heights.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the dynamic duo leading the charge as global hubs for HealthTech. With cutting-edge healthcare facilities, a supportive regulatory vibe, and groundbreaking research spaces, the UAE is a hotspot for investments, taking centre stage in the healthcare revolution.

Cultivating a future-facing ecosystem
